Patients are required to pay their copay at the time of service as determined by their insurance carrier. For non-emergency illnesses and injuries, urgent care may cost less than an emergency room visit. Your out-of-pocket cost depends on your insurance plan and the care you receive. We also accept most major Illinois insurance providers surrounding the Shorewood, Joliet, and Plainfield, Illinois communities.
If you don’t see your insurance provider below, please contact us directly at 815.733.5952.

Don’t See Your Insurance Listed?
You may still have coverage for a visit with us. Some plans offer out-of-network urgent care benefits, and we have seen patients whose out-of-network coverage is better than expected. Benefits and out-of-pocket costs vary by plan, so please check with your insurance company before your visit. You can also choose our self-pay pricing when paying in full on the day of service.
Services We Don’t Bill to Insurance
Although Emediate Cure accepts most major insurance plans, we are not a primary care provider. Certain preventive services are “Self-pay” only. We understand if you want to use your insurance for these services, and encourage you to schedule with your primary care provider or pediatrician. Services not billed to insurance by Emediate Cure include Sports Physical, Vitamin Injections, Administrative / Pre Employment physicals, DOT physicals, and drug screens.
Insurance for School Physicals and Immunizations
Although Emediate Cure accepts insurance for required school physicals and immunizations; not all insurance plans cover these services at an urgent care facility. CIGNA, United Healthcare, and Medicaid all require patients to be seen at their primary care provider or pediatrician for these visits. If you choose to be seen by Emediate Cure and have the above listed insurance plans, you will be offered the “self-pay” pricing in lieu of using your insurance. All other patients should call the customer service number on the back of their insurance card to verify coverage prior to visiting Emediate Cure for a school physical or immunizations.
