What exactly is an urgent care center?

An urgent care center is used for episodic care for patients with medical conditions that require treatment. When experiencing a non-life threatening situation, a patient can receive treatment at one of our cure centers rather than seeking treatment at a costly and over crowded emergency room. If you or your loved one is in a life-threatening situation, please call 911 right away for immediate care.

Our Emediate Cure® quick care center is conveniently located in the Shorewood community with full-service, board-certified health professionals, diagnostic tools and labs on-site so we can diagnose and treat most patients in just one visit. Our goal is to get you in and out without an appointment, which will save you time and money.

Are you like all the other urgent care centers?

The main reason we are not like other urgent care centers is because we are family owned and operated. For example being family owned and operated allows us to be more flexible with our patients on service fees and insurance providers.

Another key difference is we provide pediatric care for our patients when they can’t afford to wait days to see their family pediatrician while other urgent care centers only treat adults and seniors.

How long can I expect to wait during my visit to Emediate Cure quick care center?

Most of our patients are treated and released in about 30-45 minutes. However, visit times vary depending on the number of patients at our cure center and the severity of their injuries or illness. For example, some patients may require additional time if they experienced a fracture or need a few stitches.

During my visit to Emediate Cure who will provide my medical care?

Our Emediate Cure quick care center is staffed by board-certified health professionals that are highly trained in treatment of non-life threatening injuries and illnesses. All of our staff members are dedicated to our patients, providing exceptional urgent care in a considerate, responsive and respectful manner. We take pride in providing quality urgent care for the community by the community.

How much does an office visit cost?

Our fees vary depending on the level of services provided but a general office visit starts at $75. Our fees are approximately one-half the cost charged by over crowded emergency rooms for similar urgent care.

We do ask our patients to provide payment or proof of insurance prior to treatment. If you have questions about some of our occupational fees please contact us or click here for more information.

Do you accept insurance?

Our Emediate Cure® quick care center accepts most major Illinois insurance plans. Co-pays are determined by your insurance plan, but are usually much less than those for an emergency room visit or those for freestanding emergency departments. We are constantly working to add new insurance providers. Click here to see if your provider is listed. If you have any questions, please call us at: 815.733.5952.
