Shorewood Pediatric Urgent Care

Our eKids Pediatric Quick Care in Shorewood is our flagship location and the place where it all began. Originally opened in April 2015 as an all-ages urgent care clinic, this location represents the foundation of our mission to provide accessible, high-quality care to our community. Over the years, we listened closely to the families we serve and recognized a growing need for a space designed specifically for children. In 2024, we proudly transformed this original clinic into eKids Pediatric Quick Care, a dedicated pediatric urgent care focused entirely on caring for infants, toddlers, children, and teens. To continue serving patients of all ages, we also opened our all-ages Shorewood clinic just down the street, ensuring expanded access to care for the entire community.

At eKids, we provide walk-in pediatric urgent care for non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries in a calm, kid-friendly environment. Our experienced pediatric-focused providers treat a wide range of conditions, including fevers, colds, flu, COVID-19, RSV, ear infections, sore throats, strep throat, cough and congestion, pink eye, rashes, allergic reactions, and common childhood illnesses. We also care for minor injuries such as cuts requiring stitches or glue, sprains and strains, suspected fractures with on-site X-ray services, minor head injuries, burns, bug bites, and skin infections. On-site testing is available for strep, flu, COVID-19, and RSV, allowing families to get answers and treatment quickly without an emergency room visit.

Families choose eKids  in Shorewood because we combine fast, convenient care with a personalized, compassionate approach. We are locally owned, deeply rooted in the community, and open evenings and weekends to meet the needs of busy families. With walk-in availability, optional online check-in, insurance acceptance, and self-pay options, our goal is to make pediatric urgent care as simple and stress-free as possible. From our very first patient in 2015 to the children we care for today, this flagship location reflects our continued commitment to providing trusted, high-quality care for the families who call Shorewood and the surrounding communities home.

I grew up in Joliet IL and graduated from the University of St. Francis with my Bachelor’s degree in nursing. After working about 10 years in the Emergency department as a trauma nurse at local hospitals, I realized the need for urgent cares in our area. I went back to USF and graduated with my Nurse Practitioner degree in 2013. After becoming board certified, I decided that urgent care was right for me. I love the variety and love meeting new people everyday. I strive to listen to my patients closely and always spend time educating my patients and their family members about their illness and how they can improve their health. Most importantly I love caring for my own community. I enjoy being involved in the community and helping to be that change for our world. I am currently involved in my state Organization as a Region Chair member. I am active with my church family and love doing mission trips when all possible. I am active with local community events and have a passion for Big Brother Big Sisters Org. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, love caring for animals, traveling (especially warm places), hiking and taking in nature.

I have an extensive background in Emergency Nursing with nearly 9 years of experience in a busy level 2 ER. I became a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2013 graduating with honors from University of St. Francis with my MSN. I have since worked in the urgent care setting treating patients of all ages with a wide variety of illnesses and injuries. I’m a DOT certified medical examiner, and X-ray certified limited license technician. I love that each patient I see is different and my days are never boring or routine. I learn something new everyday and continue to grow as a provider. For fun I like to spend time with my husband and three children. We love boating, water skiing and cheering on the Chicago Cubs!
