I have an extensive background in Emergency Nursing with nearly 9 years of experience in a busy level 2 ER. I became a Family Nurse Practitioner in 2013 graduating with honors from University of St. Francis with my MSN. I have since worked in the urgent care setting treating patients of all ages with a wide variety of illnesses and injuries. I’m a DOT certified medical examiner, and X-ray certified limited license technician. I love that each patient I see is different and my days are never boring or routine. I learn something new everyday and continue to grow as a provider. For fun I like to spend time with my husband and three children. We love boating, water skiing and cheering on the Chicago Cubs!

I grew up in Joliet IL and graduated from the University of St. Francis with my Bachelor’s degree in nursing. After working about 10 years in the Emergency department as a trauma nurse at local hospitals, I realized the need for urgent cares in our area. I went back to USF and graduated with my Nurse Practitioner degree in 2013. After becoming board certified, I decided that urgent care was right for me. I love the variety and love meeting new people everyday. I strive to listen to my patients closely and always spend time educating my patients and their family members about their illness and how they can improve their health. Most importantly I love caring for my own community. I enjoy being involved in the community and helping to be that change for our world. I am currently involved in my state Organization as a Region Chair member. I am active with my church family and love doing mission trips when all possible. I am active with local community events and have a passion for Big Brother Big Sisters Org. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, love caring for animals, traveling (especially warm places), hiking and taking in nature.

Jessica Dickinson MSN, FPA, APRN, FNP-C
I started my nursing career in 2003, after graduating from Elmhurst College with my BSN and minor in Psychology. After graduation, I began working at Advocate Children’s Hospital in the Pediatric Surgical Heart Unit (PSHU). After 9 years, I transferred to the Peds/Neo Transport Team. Through my 12 years of nursing at Advocate, I chaired various committees, developed numerous policies, procedures and quality data. I played an intricate role in various practice changes, research studies and staff education. One of the biggest accomplishments was being one of the leads assisting the Transport Team to obtain CAMTS (Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems) certification. This accreditation set the team to a higher standard making them the first pediatric team in Illinois with this accreditation. My love for the nursing profession grew and I went back to school to further my education. In 2015, I completed my graduate program from Lewis University and started practicing as an APRN in the urgent care setting. I love the autonomy that urgent care brings. Everyday is never the same and brings new learning opportunities. When I am not in the clinic, most of my time is spent with my husband and 3 kids. I enjoy running, gardening, boating and the lake life. As a new addition to the Emediate Cure Team, I hope to bring comfort, education and excellent care to my patients and families.

I began my nursing career in 1996 after graduating from Central Texas College in Killeen, Texas. I worked in both the Operating Room and Labor & Delivery, before returning back to the Chicagoland area, where I was born and raised, and began working at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, IL in 2000. In 2003 I enrolled at NIU to obtain my BSN, while still working in L&D at Christ and also became part of their High Risk Maternal Transport Team. In 2010, with three young daughters, I decided it was a perfect time to go back to NIU to obtain my Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I graduated 2014 and could not love my decision anymore. Having the privilege to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Family Medicine, Geriatrics, Medicare Wellness, and now Urgent Care has allowed me so amazing opportunities. I have truly loved each experience, but Urgent Care is by far my favorite. I love working in & supporting my community by providing them with high quality healthcare. It is an honor being part of Emediate Cure, a Nurse Practitioner owned and operated family clinic within my community. When I am not busy in the clinic I love cheering on the Cubs, the Bears & the Blackhawks, and spending time with my husband of 25 years, our three daughter, and two Weimaraner’s!

I graduated with my BSN from Northern Illinois University in 2009. I immediately entered the Family Nurse Practitioner program at NIU and graduated in 2012. While going through grad school, I was also working at Rush-Copley Hospital on the Ortho-Neuro-Pediatrics floor. Upon completion of my graduate degree, I began working at The Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) as a Family Nurse Practitioner. I worked with a diverse population of patients with limited financial resources. I loved working in this community health environment and specialized in endocrine, mental health, and women’s health issues. I worked with a large population of Hispanic patients and really enjoyed my experiences working with all my patients. I speak fluent Spanish and really feel like I can better serve my Spanish speaking patients by speaking to them in their native language. I began my doctoral program in 2013 at St. Francis University. My major was in vulnerable populations. I finished my doctorate in nursing practice (DNP) in 2015. Soon after completion of my doctorate I began working as an Assistant Professor at Lewis University in Romeoville. I have been teaching nurse practitioner classes there since then. I teach Pathophysiology and Pharmacology. I also teach Primary Care of Women, Infants, and Children. In 2017 I also began working at Will County Community Health Clinic in Joliet. I was a Family practitioner but typically focused on mental health patient care. I currently am enrolled at St. Francis University to get a secondary specialty as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I plan to finish in May of 2021. I have been working at Emediate Cure Quick Care since late 2018 and I really enjoy immediate care practice and I have been able to further improve my skills in wound care and ortho injuries. I look forward to serving the Emediate Cure community.
Ryan Braner, MSN, FPA, APRN, FNP-BC
I graduated from Southwestern Oklahoma State University with my BSN in 2009. As a nurse I worked primarily in cardiology on a cardiac surgery step down telemetry unit and in cardiac surgery. While I was in graduate school I went into administration was originally in management of cardiology programs including cardiac research and outcomes. This was a nursing informatics job where we leveraged data to improve outcomes of our patients utilizing Lean Six Sigma methodologies. We were also responsible for bringing new technologies to our health system including TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) and Mitra-Clip. After three years of cardiology management I moved into a director role of a Comprehensive Stroke Center and associated programs. I enjoyed management but missed patient care. For the last several years I worked with a Sports Medicine Orthopedic Surgeon. I first assisted with him in surgery primarily performing sports related surgeries but also trauma care, total knee, hip, and shoulder arthroplasty. Originally I am from Central Illinois but my wife is from the area. We have young children and wanted to be closer to a support system with our family. I decided to get into urgent care for variety and to see patients of all ages. I care deeply about population health and preventative medicine which I try to integrate into my visits with my patients. In my free time I spend time with my family and have a passion for endurance running, cycling, and mountain biking. I love being outdoors. I joined Emediate Cure in August of 2019 and love working for a family owned business in which the owners are also providers and care equally about the care delivered to their patients and the business operations.
